Hello Mate, I have a problem with my Screen format after burning my project on a DVD. My settings is DVD PAL LPCM HQ , PAL 720x576, VBR 9000kbps, upper field first 4:3. This is the default settings for VS pro X3 & X4. with this settings no matter what i does the video output on DVD is 4:3 Screen. When I change this settings on the [Capture tab, then click on capture button, click options and select video properties and then click template, I then select DVD PAL LPCM HQ 16:9] I got the full Screen but I have wasted more than 8 blank dvds when i tried to burn my project to a DVD. I got error message (unspecified error 5:0:0). I have called Corel they said they cannot help me with settings instead I should post my concern on this forum. Please somebody help me on how to set the programme so that my project can be burn successfully and play back on a full screen 16:9 TV.
I have the NEW VIDEO STUDIO PRO X4 ULTIMATE. Thanks
how to I set VS X4 to output DVD on 16:9 WIDESCREEN

Welcome to the forums,
I would suggest burning to folders before you burn an actual disc. You can then use a software DVD player to check your project to make sure everything is alright before actually burning a disc.
To better help us troubleshoot this we're going to need so more information. Click on this link-->Please Read this First Before Posting, it will provide you with instructions on what information we need.
Also we need to know more about your computer setup, please click on this one User Control Panel, go to the Profile Tab, and complete the information for your system. It will appear under your name, like mine, and will be available for members to glance at when trying to help.
What workflow are you using?

- Share Create Video File. Once the video file is created then opening the burn module, inserting the newly created video file, and proceeding on to finally burning your disc.
- Share Create Disc. Going straight into the burn module with a project (vsp) file.

You can also create your own movie template that will output your video in 16:9. You can visit http://pnoy.me/1F for information on how to create your own movie template.
