VS Pro X4 - Patches & Updates
I have a problem installing the service pack for Video Studio Pro X4. I have tried to reinstall many times now and keep on being greeted with this screen shot.
How can I rectify this?

Re: VS Pro X4 - Patches & Updates
Well, if you can tell us the version you have -- and by that I mean the build set of numbers -- we might be able to help. It could be, for instance, that you are getting that message since the version you have already contains the patches. Mine, for instance, shows as 14.1.0.107 though yours might be higher or lower than that. I found the number by starting off VS afresh and on the Corel Guide splash screen which appears, I chose the cogwheel icon in the top right and then About Corel Video Studio. Or else in the VS screen iteself, up it the extreme top right click on the little circle of dots with the downward pointing arrow and you get the Corel Guide and proceed as above.

Re: VS Pro X4 - Patches & Updates
Do you have VS X4 Pro or VS X4 Pro Ultimate? The latter is basically a package, that comes with additional freebies, like the Prodad and Boris plug-ins. I'm running the Ultimate version and the version number is 14.1.0.126. It includes the update, but the number could be different due to it being the Ultimate version. It also indicates that it is the Ultimate version as opposed to the "vanilla" version. When I had the vanilla version installed complete with the update, the number was like yours, 14.1.0.107.

Re: VS Pro X4 - Patches & Updates
So reading between the lines I have to assume that the update is already updated. I would love to meet the people who generate these 'pop-ups on screen, as it seems to be common practise not to explain anything within them. Thanks very much for your feedback.Ron P. wrote:Do you have VS X4 Pro or VS X4 Pro Ultimate? Re: VS Pro X4 - Patches & Updates
Hi
I have just updated X4 using the VSProX4_SP1.exe patch.
The installation shows a few progress panels and finishes showing the same window as your image.
I re-installed the patch and again the same “finish” panel shows.
My version is now 14.1.0.107
Unfortunately I didn’t look before installing patch, silly me.
As you show the same numbers I guess you have successfully installed the patch.
Your Video Files
Are you able to provide a very small video sample.?
I run XP, the wife is using Vista and the lad has W7 so I could try on these to see if I have any problems.
