Burn process crash

Post by jake7363 »

Hi,
I am using ver 10.0.0110.3, with Windows 7 Pro (32bit) Core Duo and 2G of RAM.
I have about 10 songs I put stills to, using transitions and effects I made MPEGs for each of them. Then I entered the Share module and added each MPEG, using a menu. However, after I added all the files and clicked Next, the application crashed.

Until now, I have only created singles for various reasons, so this is the first attempt at a complete project.
What am I missing?
Any and all input is appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Jake

Unfortunately, VS 10 was written even before Vista was released, and they issued a patch to make it compatible with Vista. But no such luck with Windows 7. It is just not compatible. That does not mean parts of it may not work with Win 7 -- especially if you are running it in compatibility mode in your Win 7 Pro edition (are you??). But it does not mean all of it will work. You might therefore want to dowload the trial version of VS X4 and see if that works...

Can we also assume you are just trying to produce a standard definition DVD?

Thanks for the reply.
Bummer. Not the greatest news, but it is an answer and I don't have to run around like a hamster in a treadmill.

Yeah, I'm running it in compatibility mode and yes, I am trying to burn a standard def DVD.

When you suggested VS X4, are you thinking it also may not work (compatibility), or are you saying that something might be wrong with the machine/other software?
