I am using uvs9 and I'm cutting up an mpeg 2 file and adding music, transitions.I decided to use the ripple editing feature while I do this so I turned it on but everytime I make a cut or add something I get a message saying "Ripple editing will not be used for this procedure".Well I just figured out that after enabling ripple editing, you have to click on the little boxes next to each track to actually turn it on for that particular track.Hope this helps someone else too.
