Help finding special effects

Post by 654321 »

I had a pc crash and am reloading all my old programs including VS 4. I found everything except a couple effect. One was a crown that could be adjusted and placed on a head, another was a wand that went across the screen with sparkling bits, another had butterflies, etc. I don't know where to find them. Could anyone help out please? Thanks.

Hallo,

PLEASE could you tell me where to find the Wand and the Crown in Flash Animation? I have Video Studio X4 but cannot find these items. Also the Club (when I sometimes used to hit somebody over the head in a fun way of course). They are all missing from my Contents. I don't seem to find a Graphics file either.

Thankyou so much.

Also, I have downloaded .swf files from the internet (i.e. 'Download Free Flash animation" ) and imported them into VSX4 but they only show up as pictures and don't move !! Am I doing something wrong?

They are flash files, and all Flash files are in the Samples\Video sub-directory of your main Corel Video Studio ProX4 directory. They all have the .swf extension.

The Crown clip, for instance, is MotionD01; the wand MotionD09; butterflies MotionD11.

You can either leave them where they are and just access them when you want, or use Insert Video to transfer the thumbnails so they appear in your Library window. I in fact create a new Library window which I call Flash and store them there. (I also do the same for the images and audio files. Otherwise, the library window is too crowded just with a jumble of sample files.)

Unfortunately I am missing the Wand and the Butterflies. I have managed to find the Crown only. I checked in my Sample Library and double checked in Samples within C:/ Coral VSX4 as well.

How can I get hold of these two items?

Hi Folks,
I found all the Flash files neatly tucked away in the Library. But in a place I would not have looked for them before. If you click on the "Graphic" icon on the left side (just below the Title icon, then click the down-arrow to switch sub-folders, there is one called "Flash Animation". That is where Corel stashed them. I would never have thought that video files would be stored in the Graphics area, but there you are. Sometimes it pays to go hunting. :)
I wonder what other goodies I'll find tucked away in a corner that I had'nt looked in before?
Good nite to all.

Do you mean to say you looked in that Sampe sub-directory I mentioned above and your flash files go D08, D10 then D12??? Or don't you have any SWF files?

Yes, I looked in the Sample sub-directory. I have only Motion D01 and Motion F01. I have 1 Frame. I have 1 Object. I have 15 colors.
I have other .swf files in the Library as follows:
06_SceB01
06_Text01
06_Text02
07_Travel07
TextVideo 01
TextVideo 02
TextVideo 04
TextVideo 06
TextVideo 07 (03 and 05 are not .swf)

I have nothing with which to compare if these are all okay or whether there are some missing. I scouted around in other places just to make sure - but the missing .swf files mentioned previously are no where that I can see.

Many thanks for your help.

Hi Carole

My Video Studio X4 was supplied with a Contents file (VSX4_Content.exe)

The main program is installed first but only supplies limited contents to the library and templates.
Installing the Contents file fills the library with lots of additional clips.

Have you installed the Contents file.?

Hallo there,

I have just looked at my Confirmation Letter from Coral.

In this letter, there is a Contents Pack.................and a Bonus pack etc. which are additional downloads. I had no idea that the contents.exe was an additional download and installation.

Thankyou so much!!!

I do assume that this now will give me my Wand and Butterflies and maybe other .swf files?

Hi

You may be pleasantly surprised just how much the contents file installs to the library.

Mystery SOLVED.

Because I had seen 'Content' within the VSX4 Folder - I assumed that was it!

Hopefully this may help others to know that the full contents are a separate download altogether, as is the Bonus Pack.

Many thanks.

I have VisualStudio Pro X4 but it does not have "VSX4_Content.exe", any suggestions?
