CMYK eps file for Quark

Post by dogulas »

Hi,

I have PaintShop Photo Pro X3 running on Windows 7 x64. I have created artwork for an ad that I am purchasing in a trade publication. The contact person at the magazine tells me that they need my artwork in CMYK format and in a file type of eps. They need the CMYK format in one file as opposed to being broken out into separate channels. They are using Quark software.

Does anyone know how I can get my artwork into the format that Quark needs?
Thanks,
dogulas

Readers,

I was never able to solve this problem, so I switched to a different product which was able to create the full color CMYK postscript file that my publisher needed.

Thanks,

Huh, I had never seen this topic before. My bad. If I had I would have told you PSP was not the product you wanted for that kind of work (or you wanted a new publisher...one of the two. XD )

The EPS filter in PSP does not have CMYK options. While EPS can support CMYK PSP does not support CMYK in EPS. It doesn't really fully support any vector based formats, other than wmf and emf formats, properly. Even its SVG importer is a joke as it only imports the rendered preview and not the actual vectors. It doesn't even properly support Corel's own formats.

So, yes, PSP was not designed for the kind of system your publisher uses. Sorry. But glad you found another product that worked well for you.
