Similar problem to ed_123 - every time I open X4 with material/Layers/BrushVariance palettes showing, they take up nearly half the screen and I have to reset the margins every time. Functionality is fine, this is just annoying (and very off-putting for less savvy family members!).
I have tried saving the workspasce but the problem persists.
This started happening just recently and it has been installed for a month or more. I am using build 14.1.0.5 and running Win 7 64 bit on an AMD Phenom chip with 4gb RAM.
