WMV HD 720 30p Setting Now Saving @ 20fps
i saved a bunch of videos with this setting at the normal 29.97fps. now they are saving at 20fps per the properties in the create video file dialogue box. i believe this happened to me w/VSPx3 before i upgraded, but i can't remember what the fix was. any ideas?

Welcome to the forums! But can you please give us a little more information please. Do you mean to say that when you have finished editing and go to Share > Create Video File > WMV > 720p, that the properties show up as 20p instead of 30p? Or is something else showing you it is 20p?
Nonetheless, you could always create your own custom WMV template using Settings > Make Movie Template Manager. The easiest way would be to use the Add option. Just navigate to one of your existing 720p WMV video clips which you know is 30p and select it. Then give the new template a name, and it should then appear at the bottom of the drop down box when you select Share > Create Video File.

to answer your 1st question...yes, that is correct.
when i attempt to create a template, i select a video file i know is 30fps and click open, it says that its unable to open the file due to a file format mismatch. maybe i'm not following the directions properly??

Hmmm... yes, I now see what you mean. I just went to create a WMV format using Add, but I too got the File Format Mismatch erro when I attempt to Open a wmv file... which I find very strange.
Ok, so now try to use the standard method to create a template using Make Movie Template Manager. Click the New button, then select .wmv as the format. Give the new template a name (e.g. WMV Custom).
In the dialogue box which now appears, select the Profile tab. Then up the top of that, in the drop down box, select "Ulead - WMV HD NTSC Standard Quality" as the profile you want. Check its Description in the box below, but it should show a frame rate of 29.97 fps which of course is what you want. Click OK to get out. And next time you want to produce such a file select that template when you go to Share > Create Video File.
But I confess I am mystified by what has happened with you. All I have suggested above is really that you create a new template with the same properties your default template should have anyway. And I can't think of any reason why the default 29.97 fps in the default template should have changed.

I do not get that profile option. All the options that appear start with "Windows Media Video 8". I was messing around with trying to import a video directly to my iPhone 4 before all this started happening (in which the program didn't recognize that my iPhone was plugged in anyway). I wonder if I could have changed some setting9s) while doing that??Ken Berry wrote:Ok, so now try to use the standard method to create a template using Make Movie Template Manager. Like I mentioned before, when I first downloaded X3 I distinctly remember this happening to me as well, but I can't remember what I did to fix it? I believe I ended up talking to someone in tech support at Corel. I was just hoping it would be something I could find online easily.

Ah! By the sounds of it, you don't have Windows Media Encoder 9 Series installed if you don't have that option. You can download it from http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... x?id=23848

Hi
This problem has been discussed before there is a post that seems to suggest installing WMV Encoder does the trick, As Ken advises.

Re: WMV HD 720 30p Setting Now Saving @ 20fps
I noticed that when the dialogue box appears listing the options, it seems to open by default on the WM 8 ones. But the slider to the right, when pushed upwards, shows the WM 9 ones, and the list should be topped by Neptune options...
