Image Stacks - HDR and PhotoBlend include options for aligning images to create a final result but sometimes you just don't like how they work. I would like to see those alignment options brought into the editor for aligning layers. Similar, though not exactly the same, to Photoshop's Image Stack options.
Would definitely open up a lot more options for advanced control and manipulation of images. Focus stacking anyone?

1) Resizing in pixels. Many photo oriented websites where photos can be uploaded (for whatever purpose) have minimum and maximum MP requirements. If I want to resize a photo to 2000 x 3000 pixels for instance, I would like to be able to do that without estimating it by using percentages and using my calculator. Very time consuming
2) Being able to set the grid in percentage. This is very helpful for the Rule of Thirds. Setting it in percentage would make the grid also independent from any resizing or cropping. Not having this simple function is also very time consuming.
3) preview of the perspective control function
4) Stop dealing with Fotolia. People like me get Scr***ed because of it and it cost me money. (I sell through them, but I might close my account because of stuff like this)

I'm sure you know this already and it's not a full solution to your request (which I agree with) anyway but in case anyone doesn't know, there is a built in Script called "Guides - Rule of Thirds" which will set up guide lines automatically for the current image suitable for structuring your image around the rule of thirds.rudyumans wrote:2) Being able to set the grid in percentage. I would like to see dust removal tool added to X4(add on) or X5. On SLRs dust can get on the sensor and be on the same location on every photo. I would like to have several reference frames input and have a batch script subtract the dust's impact from every image.

I prefer Protexis over any other more draconian approach.

Re: PaintShop Pro X4--Wishlist for Future Versions
Provide the option to totally disable tabbed documents.
Give back the restore down button that I use in X3 that keeps my open image windows sized/arranged as they were when I restore down from maximize, and not forcing them to cascade, ruining my workflow.
Give us an optonally timed Auto Save option that works in Edit Mode. X4 has crashed on me far more frequently than it should and I have lost hours of work - because I'm used to the Auto Save and don't always remember to save every 5 minutes on my own. Auto Preserve is NOT the solution to a crash.
Fix the zoom function so that when you zoom from a certain point in the image, it remains centered on that image (like it does in X3). I find in X4 that if I zoom in on a certain point in my image, once I've zoomed, I have to scroll both vertically and horizontally to get to what I was zooming in on.

gail0423 and el Pusher,
I fully agree with the zoom function, X4 is a degrade from X3.
A line in the menu Edit under the function "Paste as new Layer" to act as a visual anchor i.l.o Ctrl L or V.
In the case of dual monitors, X4 must have the capabiility to drag the window with My Files to my second monitor when opening a file

Re: PaintShop Pro X4--Wishlist for Future Versions
Does anyone find it is useful to have a "find similar photo" in PaintShop organizer? I always want to find my photo base on their similarity, like same objects (logo) inside, similar color tone, ...
Also, I'd like to have more smart collection options (like all metadata, image properties, ...) that I can choose to easily categorize my assets. (how about users can write scripts to create smart collection?)
I also second "image stacks in layers", and can provide more operators like PhotoShop.

Also can't duplicate that here. I'm seeing the zoom function behave identically to previous versions. (Tested by clicking with the zoom tool and by ctrl+mousewheel too)JStanley wrote:I don't see this problem. Re: PaintShop Pro X4--Wishlist for Future Versions
I know a piece of software that claims to do this and it's not as accurate as their publicity would want you to believe - it found 2 images (out of 2700) and missed 9 on "similar" - it found the "exact" matches ie those images which were JPGs from RAW - but of course it couldn't find any PSPIMAGES which matched - it said that those files were corrupted!alexhuang888 wrote:Does anyone find it is useful to have a "find similar photo" in PaintShop organizer? Re: PaintShop Pro X4--Wishlist for Future Versions
This may have been posted already, I have not read all of the wishlist items. For me three things:
1) Let PSP use more 3rd party plugins...... right now it is hit or miss, mainly miss on some biggies. I bought "another" program just to have access.
2) An adjustable plug-in layer..... you create a layer, use the plugin on it, but the layer remains open, so you can return at a later date and manipulate the plug in settings
3) Built in panorama

Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.
