Of course I know that, it's an example, which does not require to work with layers. But when you work with images with many layers, it quickly becomes painful to pick the layer at the top of the list when it was there and not in the bottom... In addition, in some cases, duplicate original layer can significantly slow down your work when you working with big images. No, I my mind, I think about a button which recall the "originaly picture" saved in "automatic presevation" folder and displays it on the screen. It could be a combinaison keys to display the original picture over the entire interface software, something like that.hartpaul wrote:You can have that effect by using the layers palette and duplicating your image, then work on the top image cloning, lighten, levels etc . To see your original image in the exact same place just click the visibility toggle of the top layer on and off. Worked image on top and original below. No need for an extra button on an already busy tools options space.
Duplicating your image in the layers should be a first thing when working on images.

I'd love to see the Organizer as an option-only part of the next version, enabling users to remove it completely from the editor if desired.

Manage should be an optional download, but I doubt it will happen.OldRadioGuy wrote:I'd love to see the Organizer as an option-only part of the next version, enabling users to remove it completely from the editor if desired.

I don't use it, never have, never will Windows Explorer is a lot easier and faster.
Paint Shop Pro is, and always was, an Image Editor, NOT a file manager.

Totally agree with Joelle, for power users a streamlined Edit program is all we need. Stop trying to make PSP be a universal program to manage, adjust , and do everything. That just introduces more complexity (and bugs) . Keep it simple, sleek and powerful. Other things should be optional add ons (modules) for those that like to go in different directions.

I don't think any of it is read by anyone who has the power to change things ...

Yes - consign 'manage' to some place out of sightJoelle wrote:Sadly this section of the forum is not read by anyone who has the power to change things.hartpaul wrote:Totally agree with Joelle, for power users a streamlined Edit program is all we need. Yes - we know from Ruby's comments that only Zendesk is read.

Craig Copley, however, has said numerous times that the forums are read as well as emails. And he has corrected something that Ruby supposedly said once.

The mocking was uncalled for. Admittedly he didn't write it often here on the forums, he doesn't write to the forums often period, but he said it during the webinar introducting PSPX4, he wrote it in the Beta wishlist topic, and here are two examples taken from Beta topics.

Admittedly, he could just be saying that, but we see him lurking about these forums from time to time and I trust him. He seems like a good guy.cwcopley wrote: We’ve been listening to user suggestions and following the latest photography trends so we can bring you an application that does what you want, and helps you discover something new.

I am not saying he is a good or bad or anything in between guy. Trust doesn't come into it.LeviFiction wrote:The mocking was uncalled for. I don't 'know' Craig, we don't get to see him often enough to form an opinion.
What I AM saying is, that whenever someone comments on Corel you jump in there defending them, or it certainly comes across as such.
That isn't mocking, that is stating a fact.
Maybe you don't read comments from PSP users elsewhere, they are all heartily sick of having to put up with version after version of a program that is full of bugs, that needs yet more service packs to get rid of the bugs
If all the hype Corel put out were reality, PSP would be the be all and end all choice for professionals in need of image editing software. It isn't is it..

A quick select tool!
To be able to use the Pen for more then Vectors. To use it for selection like in Photoshop and Gimp!
