Help with Forum usage?

Post by SJS »

I try to be diligent about searching for issues before posting questions/problems as New Topics, HOWEVER when I search, I see posts that might be helpful and on the topic, BUT I cannot read them!

When choose the Jump to Post link I see the following message:

Information

No posts exist inside this topic for the selected time frame.

However my "Sort By" setting is set to "All Results" so should not be setting a time limit ... has anyone else seen this problem?

Not sure what you mean by the 'Jump to Post link'. Do you mean that when you click on the title of a post listed in the search page, you get that message? Or something else?

If you do a search Ken then look down the pages of results you will see at the extreme right edge of each post the 'jump to post' link that the SJS mentions - but I guess that like me you have never used that option. What we do SJS is just click on the title of each post displayed and it opens - just a tip - hold down the "Shift" key while you do it - this opens the topic in a new window keeping your search result intact - or else the opening topic wipes away your results and you have to search again
