I have tried importing chapters of a DVD (Not Copyrighted).
The video came in and burned to DVD great.
There was no audio attached, I tried different chapters as well.
Importing to Mediastudio pro it played fine in the preview pane.
Is there something special I need to do when importing DVD items in Workshop 2.2 to incorporate the video?
DVD Import
Full or Trial?
Hi,
Do you have the Full or Trial version of DVD WS 2.2? It might be that your DVD has Dolby Digital audio, and the TRIAL does not support Dolby Digital (the full or express versions support Dolby Digital audio -- and maybe some SE versions that come bundled with other hardware).
Doe the audio play on your computer if you use something like PowerDVD? If so, check what type of audio it has.
Another possibility is that you have used mpeg audio for an NTSC DVD. Some NTSC DVD Players cannot playback mpeg audio.

DVD Import Problems
The source is a recorded DVD on a Phillips set top DVD recorder and a video camera. Importing into MP4 from the source using NERO recode it plays fine, however Workshop does not use MP4. Using Sonic MyDVD and importing it works fine. Yes, I am using the trial version to see if it works before purchasing Workshop.
Dolby Digital audio
So it's most likely that your dvd recorder uses Dolby Digital audio, and unfortunately the Trial of DVD WS 2.x does not support that audio format.
