Hello,
I have a new box version of PantShop Photo Pro X3. Using the CD to install, I am getting a 1935 error message. Anyone know how to fix this?

Re: Install Error
Welcome to the forums,
Don't have a clue what a 1935 error is. Most members of this forum are users just like you, so that error will be meaningless. Can you tell us just what is happening? Is the install hanging, or what?
Try to disable User Account Control (UAC), and temporarily disable your antivirus, then choose to run the installer file as Administrator.

Google Search for error 1935 (example):
http://www.google.com/search?q=error%201935
Common solutions:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/902330
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308096
http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error ... eader.html
http://www.error1935.org/
etc.
Essentially, turn off your antivirus/antimalware prior to installation...
Corel needs to update its own Knowledge Base...

Re: Install Error
Thanks Ron and thanks to JStanley for the informative post. I was going to save it but now I don't have to. I've never had this error but this is "good to know" in case it pops up.

Re: Install Error
after the following errors I Got mine to install
Please wait while we configure DirectX.
Installation Wizard not completed
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again. Click Finish to exit the wizard.
The system cannot find the device specified.
I tried to update DirectX it did not work
I tried to Repair .Net it did not work
What I did do was create a new user with admin privileges logged off as myself then logged on to the new user and the install went fine, logged off as the new user and went back into my account and Paint Shop Pro X4 worked like a charm.
Why does every program want to install DirectX without asking?

Re: Install Error
Lately, Corel's installation programs are usually poorly coded and don't properly look for updated runtimes (e.g. DirectX, Visual C++ Runtimes, etc.), and they often install duplicate or conflicting software (e.g. Python libraries, DirectShow ActiveX codecs).

Re: Install Error
This problem occurs because of certain third-party programs and background programs that are running on the computer. For example, this problem may be caused by programs such as WinTools, WinEasy, WebSearch, Easy Installer, System Mechanic, and HP Component Manager.
This being so, you need to stop anti-virus, anti-spyware and other similar programs and then try again to install. Of course make sure you are not on-line when doing this otherwise, you could be attacked instantly. Just unplug the cable temporarily when installing the software.
Good luck.
