Has someone solve the "mp4" problem ?

Post by SanderK »

When you double click or open an mp4 file it starts the Paintshop Pro X3 installer. This is a problem that has 100s of mentions on Google and is not at all related to file associations. Especially to the Moderator here Tim -- Has Corel solved this problem ????? Thank you

Thank you for the reply and the time you spent studying the problem. Corel should incorporate it in their patch and compensate you for your efforts.

As time passes, I think it is becoming more and more unlikely that there will be another patch for PSPP X3.

The "patch solution" proposed by JStanley has worked perfectly for me. I should be proposed to others with this problem. It is unfortunate that the programmers at Corel have not incorporated it in their patch and KB.

Isn't there a Patch 5 pending for PSPPX3? :?:
Unfortunately it's called PSPPX4. :P <just kidding>

We keep hearing about it but when Corel employees started suggesting we upgrade to relieve our problems when the upgrade comes it really started to look iffy. However it did take them close to a year to come out with patch #3. So there is still hope.

Otherwise, yes X4 is the fifth patch everybody line up to pay for the fixes you really want.
