Project Creator
Hi recently replaced hard drive on pc and i am unable to open any folders in Project creator . It tried doing the following :
There are 2 solution that you can take to fix this. First reset the application by follow these steps:
1. Close Corel PaintShop Photo Project Creator.
2. Launch Window Task Manager; to open Windows Task Manager, right-click an empty space on the taskbar, and then click Task Manager.
3. In the Windows Task Manager, go to Processes tab.
4. In the Processes tab, make sure that the following Processes are not running on your computer:
- MetadataMgr.exe
- MLEMonitor.exe
- RtDevDetector.exe
5. If any of the above are still running on your system, right-click on each Processes and select End Process or End Process Tree.
6. After making sure that the above processes are no longer running, go to taskbar and click on START >> RUN;
7. In the RUN window, type: %appdata%
8. Hit the enter key to open the Application Data folder.
9. Double-click on Corel folder and then double-click on Digital Studio folder.
10. Delete all the files and folders inside this "Digital Studio" folder.
11. Close this folder and re-launch PaintShop Photo Project Creator.
But thats not worked the
- MetadataMgr.exe
- MLEMonitor.exe
- RtDevDetector.exe
Just reappear when i end the process.
Any suggestions please

Re: Project Creator
I know this will not help you with your Project Creator issue, but after encountering numerous bugs and crashes with Project Creator, I did research on other Slide Show applications, including trying a couple, and ended up purchasing ProShow Gold from Photodex.
I am a HUGE fan of the Corel products that I own, Paint Shop Photo Pro X3 and Painter Essentials, but Project Creator was nothing but an experience with frustration. And after the first slide show, I've become an equally avid fan of ProShow Gold. The features are numerous, the quality of the slide show outstanding, and the cost extremely reasonable (cheaper than most other product that offered less).

Wow.. you lasted 24 more hours than I did with that program..southpole wrote:Thanks for reply i will look into that program had enough with project creator now
I've never used ProShow, but I've heard only positive things about it. I tend to just create my slideshows using VS or DVD MF. I think you'll like it.

Re: Project Creator
I found that the slideshows that Windows Movie Maker XP are enough for me. I'm sure there's something I'm missing with the program but it's far and above better than the project creator disaster of a program that Corel gave out. And it's free. Windows Movie Maker Live isn't bad either, and it's free as well.
