Problem Installing VS X4

Post by Rolin »

I downloaded VS X4 Ultimate from the link provided after my completed my order, however, I cannot run the installation. When I click "Run" I get the following error message

I've also tried downloaded the trial and thought I would just activate it with my access code, but when attempting to do so, the installation ends before it even begins and asks me to attempt setup again later. No amount of retries has resolved the issue. What am I doing wrong?

This has been brought up in another forum dealing with another Corel program. The error message is the same though. Bad/Incomplete download. You'll need to download it again. Uninstall what you have, then try installing the fresh download. There must be something corrupting the file while downloading.

New problem (decided against starting a new topic).

I re-downloaded the software and started the installation, but when it tries to configure my DirectX settings, it stops installing. I get a message that says something like "Your files were not modified, please try again later" followed by what I assume is the error code, which is "-9".

How do I fix this?

Here's some images to show what happens:
I re-downloaded the program and ran the installation.

When I get to this point:

The installation ends and I get this message:

How do i fix this? I thought it was my version of DirectX, but I checked and I have the latest version of DirectX 11. I searched the forum and someone who had a similar issue was told to run the installation as an Administrator, but this did not help.

If you bought the program and registered it, the problem could be with the installer of VS X4. I suggest that you call the Corel Tech Support, so that they can help you in fixing the problem.
