Chapter points, I must understand them wrong
The concept of chapter points seemed simple to me but I must not have it right. I thought I could set chapter points in the timeline and name them what I wanted then they would appear as chapters on the dvd burning menus. They don't appear anywhere. I started with dvd factory 10 then went to 7SE, I can set them in dvd factory and they work fine. Is there a bug in the software, am I not doing it right or am I completely misunderstanding the concept? I've searched the threads but don't know much more than I started.
Additional stuff I have and use most:
Gimp, Inkscape, Xara extreme 5, Swish max, Swish studio, Swish Swish video, Audacity, TurboCAD 15, Mypaint, Xnview, and I have a bamboo pen & touch.
I use a LOT of other stuff too.

Re: Chapter points, I must understand them wrong
Hi there,
If I understand your question correctly, you are using VideoStudio Pro X3, then DVD MovieFactory 7SE to author the DVD. Unfortunately, chapter points created in VS X3 do not get transfered over to, MovieFactory 7SE. If you want chapters in your final DVD you have to create them in MovieFactory. I hope that answers your question.

Hi
You are correct in thinking there is a problem in using chapter points from the edit timelines.
There is a post where myself and Ron performed extensive tests. Confused me!

Chapter points within X3 timeline will be preserved within the rendered mpeg2 file.
Then inserted to DVD MF7SE will be recognised by using Insert Scenes as Chapters.
However I must stress that you are best to create the chapter points within the Burner Module and not in the Edit Timelines.

Re: Chapter points, I must understand them wrong
I tried it in both 7SE and 10. it seems that I can only use them if i make them in the burning process.
