Turn off Auto Rotate in PSP X3

Post by MxWfog »

Hello I have seen this topic discussed before but the threads are old and they did not give a satisfactory answer. I would like to turn off the auto-rotation of some pictures when I open them in X3. There is an option to do this in X but it is missing in X3. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remove your EXIF information before importing it into X3. Otherwise the "geniuses" at Corel decided the feature should not be optional. Sorry.

It looks like the option was removed from X3 (still present in X2).

Auto rotation is as far as I know set in a camera's setting. Picasa shows better than PSP or PS in it's file description if an image has the setting "rotate".
As you can see here, it was neither PSP, or PS or Picasa, that did it wrong

That's why I suggested dumping the EXIF.

However, PSP did do it wrong by not allowing us to decide if we want it to pay attention to the "rotate" value. If PSP didn't listen to that value it wouldn't annoy so many people. And not every camera allows the turning off of that value, mine doesn't. Funny how we lose options in the software and it's the camera's fault.
