Hi, I am new to Corel VS having previously used Power Producer/Director and TMPGEncAuthoring software. Have spent the last week customising various DVD menus for use in music DVD compilations. However, I cannot for the life of me work out how to save a customised menu for use in the next and following projects. Have seen the posting "VS PRO X4 fails to save DVD Menu Changes" but it seems to stop short on re-use. Have also ordered the publication "Picture Yourself Creative Corel VideoStudio Pro X4" which arrive next week.
I apologise if this is posted in the wrong area but could not find anything similar in the DVD area.
Any advice/assistance would be appreciated.

Hi
And welcome to the forums
Can you confirm that you are referring to the menu created on a DVD Disc.
From Share Create Disc you are taken to the Burner Module.
Here you can modify/customise the menu template, then the option to save the menu will show below the preview screen.
It is then saved to the favourites folder and show in the Gallery.

Hi and Tank You Trevor
Yes I am referring to the menu created on a DVD. Took me a while to find what you were referring to.
Seems so simple now - what I was doing was customising a selection from the gallery and "not seeing" the add to template button. I think the only time(s) I noticed it, the add to button was greyed out. Spent too much time getting the buttons, fonts and boxes to fit. Makes one feel like an idiot.
Thanks again and regards, Leon

No need to feel like an idiot, Corel done a bang-up job of keeping that button hidden. They put that in the worst place for what it's intended to do. It needs to be off to the left side with the rest of them.

Hi Leon
Totally agree with Ron, and for what its worth I don’t think I did such a good job in describing the process, (I was a little rushed for time) at least it pointed you in the right direction. Maybe a video tutorial is in order.
Just to add though, when you close the Burning Module Window you are taken back to the Edit Timelines, if you now save the project all the menu edits will be preserved. So when you return to the Burner Module by Share Create Disc, your menu structure will/should be in tact.

Re: Saving Customised DVD Menus VS Pro X4
Thanks Trevor and Ron. I had found that last suggestion of yours by accident Trevor. My next try would have been to reload the project, select another import media, delete the first and see the result. Don't need to go down that path now.
