I can see the Boris Add on under the FX section as well as a separate progem in my programs list. I can see poordad Mercalli in the uninstall list of my control panel in my computer but i see no link in VS4. Any suggestions from those of you who have it running??
Drag the add ons under the FX section to your video clip and then right click it and go "Open Controls Panel" from there click on the blue 'Atributes' button. Make sure your addon is selected and then click 'Customise ____ ____' button

I found this video quite helpful to get started on Boris - but remember you need to have all the relevant windows open on Boris (inc the Control Panel)

This seems like a very powerful and complex tool - I couldn't find any samples/worked examples in there to get started - anyone know of a source for them please (couldn't seem to find any in the Boris folder but them I'm probably looking in the wrong place :)

Doh
Now found the Corel Tutorial here:
http://apps.corel.com/ap/2011_ENP/au_learnhow_Boris.htm
and the sample files are in this folder when installed:
C:\Program Files\Boris FX, Inc\Keyframe Libraries

I've had the same problem with Mercalli - I've put in a support email to Corel to see what they say. looks like one person has had it install OK looking at other posts but looks like 2 of us haven't :(
PS I've also got a folder in my program files called prodad and it appears on my uninstall list on Control Panel but it doesn't appear in my list of programs

How effective have you found Prodad in the stabilization process? I could buy a pretty good tripod for the price of this upgrade. It seems to be, too much for too little!

Indeed. I bought a Velbon floating head tripod in the US two years ago for around $75 dollars brand new. It does a wonderful job and at that price is a fraction of other 'professional' floating head tripods...

The problem is that one does not always have a tripod to steady the video clip. I for one do not always carry one, and I certainly don't want to always carry one. I use a free stabilizer that is available with virtualdub that does a very good job, albeit it takes sometime to get to know and use it. If money were no object, I certainly would have all the tools... Al
