Message window comes up upon startup

Post by benjosevilla »

When I launch X3 I get a popup window "Messages" which has been blank/empty and you have to click on close to start VS X3. I already removed the checkmark in message preferrence. How do you get rid of this from constantly popping up on startup? Is this related to the constant error message I get whenever I exit out of X3?

Here's the steps that you can take.
1. Go to Start | Run, (on Vista, click Start button, then highlight Start Search)
2. Type %appdata% and click Ok (on Vista, push Enter key on keyboard).
3. Double-click on the Corel folder.
4. Double-click on the Messages folder.
5. Open each individual folder within the Messages folder. Delete all individual files within each folder EXCEPT the "Message.policy" folder (say yes to any prompts about deleting the files).
6. Once all files (except Message.policy) have been deleted from each Message subfolder, close this window.[/list]

These steps was taken from KB http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... o-Photo-XI which was originally for PSP X1

Thanks pare! Got it fixed. Any ideas on how to fix the "unspecified error message" everytime I exit the app?

I have all the latest patches. The message comes up everytime I close the program even if I just launch it then close it without doing anything in X3.

I downloaded and installed the trial version of X4 Pro hoping that the error message does not come up with this new version. Well, same issue. Since it is a trial version, I first get that Ad when I close X4. After closing the Ad, the same error comes out.
