I am using VideoStudio Pro X2. I've had it for a couple of years and never noticed this problem. I'm working from converted VHS tapes - converted into DVDs. These are old sports games, my band, etc - nothing copyrighted.
I've just noticed that when I import from the DVD, the last second (literally) is cut off. I think the time stamp is the same (example - the DVD will show 20 min 12 seconds, while the imported file in VS Pro also shows the same 20 min 12 seconds). It doesn't sound like much, but on two of my old tapes/DVDs the last second is crucial.
I click on "Select All" w/in the initial Import screen. The small preview screen displays the full DVD (I just use the play button to scroll to the end), but upon import (when I then go into start editing, etc), the last second is cut off.
Any ideas? When the VHS tapes were converted to DVD, should they have left a few extra seconds on the end of the DVD - like a "buffer"? I think, however, if the full DVD is shown in the small preview screen, the full DVD would import - since it's all in the same tool/program.

Re: VideoStudio Pro X2 Import Issue
Welcome to the forums,
My apologies for the extreme delay in getting a reply.
Is the DVD correct for the region where you're located? If so, have you tried viewing your imported video in the timeline, with it zoomed to Frame? Is the last 29 (NTSC) 25 (PAL) frames missing? Try copying the DVD to your HDD. Then using the same command to insert digital media, except use the Folders option, and point it to the VIDEO_TS folder on your HDD. See if that allows you to get the entire video clip.
