Help - Distorted background music on DVD

I have just downloaded a trial version of the PictureShow and decided to have a play last night prior to buying the full version.

The slideshow worked well and I decided to test the sample audios in the background. This worked fine on PC playback, but when I burnt the DVD, the digital images on the slideshow worked fine, but the background audio was distorted and kept breaking up.

Anyone know why this occurs - is it something to do with the speed of my DVD writer?

HELP...I would like to get the answer prior to buying if possible?

haven't encountered a problem like that, but off the top of my head you could try downloading the burning engine or else try slowing down the burn speed.
