Silly VSX3 Question But Here Goes

Post by mitcs0ke »

My Question is: Can anything that came with VSX3 and all the download goodies
be used in VSX4??

I have to admit the following!!
I got VSX3 for Christmas and let it set on the desk for a while!
After several months setting there I installed it, registered it and
got a email link for lots of extra goodies including Movie Factory 7.
THE VERY NEXT DAY I get a email from Corel with a special offer for
the new VSX4, which I bought!!(said it has I7-2600 and GUI support)
When It arrived I installed on my new Computer which had come in a
few day earlier.

I have to confess I Have Never Used VSX3.........LOL

Not a silly question at all.

VS X4 has basically all the same templates as VS X3 had. VS X4 installs a bunch of Instant Project templates, then you can download more from the Corel Guide, and finally still more from their new website http://photovideolife.com. So I wouldn't worry too much about the goodies in VS X3. ;)

You can also transfer your VS X3 library to VS X4. Here's how.

Ok, I am going to add a question. VSX3 doesn't allow me to add all of the highlighted items in the library to the storyboard. It says that I am trying to add too many items. I would like to know if there is some other way to do this as it is painful to "split the list" into sizes that will work with the method mentioned in article 000011147.

How many and what type of items are you referring to? Instead of opening the All Media and selecting all the media at one time, try choosing the video clips, adding all of them, followed by the Images/Photos, then audio. Perhaps even using 3 different VSP files to accomplish the move. One for all your video, one for all photos, and so on. Might be more work, but that's about all the options available for moving them.
