HDR photo merge should remember folder

Post by gning »

Is it too much to ask that if you have ten or twenty sets of HDR pictures in some particular folder, that the dialog could remember what folder you've been in all day, instead of moving you back to My Pictures each and every time? I spend half my workflow effort on repeating the same folder navigation steps over and over.

And why do I have to browse from there at all, instead of being able to select pictures in the organizer, or drag-and-dropping them?

Even when I load one picture that doesn't fit with the others, and try to exclude it... the only thing that works is to re-browse. Otherwise the Align button remains unavailable. Likewise if you adjust the sliders a bit wrong and hit okay... to try other settings, it's back to the folder navigation again.

Which version of PSP are you using?

I tried this with PSP X2 Ultimate and PSP X3 Ultimate, and I could not reproduce this problem. Each time, whether I had closed PSP or not, the most recent folder from which I loaded HDR merge images came back up up on a subsequent attempt. I did not, however, logout or reboot between attempts. I don't use HDR merge that much, so maybe I am not the best tester for this.

Same problem here (psp x3). Every time I have to start at my pictures and browse from there.

I just tried with X2 Ultimate and X3 Ultimate and cannot duplicate the issue either. Each time the folder I was using is remembered.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

I'm with gning, the folder always reverts to My Pictures. I don't use PSP to create HDRs but very rarely so this hasn't been an issue as of yet.

I have the same problem with X3 version 3.2.1.20.
I took it for granted that that's the way it worked until I saw others who did not have the problem.

For what it's worth, I am having the same problem with HDR browse not remembering the folder and it is immensely tedious to have to migrate to the folders every time.

The common theme I am seeing in the people who are not having a problem are using the "ultimate" version. Is ther actually more than one version of PSP X3? I have the latest patches and it just does not work right. :x
