Pro X4 resizing

Post by BOGINTHESAND »

Hi :)
I have just purchased Pro X4, after many years of using earlier products. I am however, using it on a relatively new computer, which has Windows 7 Home edition, a new operating system for me.
The problem , which I have never had before on earlier versions and computers, is that when I double click on the Videostudio icon, and the programme loads up, the lower part of the editing screen lays behind the taskbar, so that I cannot access the horizontal scroll bar.
Is there any way of resizing Videostudio so that the scroll bar comes into view and can be used, after all, surely this cannot be happening to everyone else, so there must be something I am doing wrong.
Please help if you can.
Thanks
Bog

Hi Bog

And welcome to the forums

X4’s workstation consists of three panels, the preview screen, the library and timelines.
You can move / rearrange their positions.
Maybe by mistake you have dragged the timeline down a little.

View Settings-Layout settings
Or
Press F7 to set the default state.

Does that reset your view?

Or, hide the taskbar.

Right click on the taskbar, click Properties, and choose Auto-Hide the Taskbar.

Superb Jeff - I did as you suggested and the scroll bar is now visible - thanks heaps!!!
Trevor, I shall certainly try as you suggest anyway. I am aware that the sections can be resized, but so far, I have only had time to have one go at Videostudio X4, so I am a real novice with it, compared with 11.5 plus, which I used quite extensively. Anyway, thanks for the welcome. I have been here before over past years, but with different identities, and always have had excellent replies. No different this time.
Thanks for finding the time to help me - I'm on my way now - thanks :)
