PSP X3 install issue

Post by Ghetto Muppet »

I downloaded the PSP X3 file to upgrade my PSP XI.

When I try to use it I am asked if I am sure I want to REMOVE X3.

I have uninstalled and re installed XI and still have the same issue.

My XI is registered.

Just for giggles I told it to go ahead and remove X3 but it gets part way into the process and then says installation failed and no changes were made to the system.

Any ideas?

Corel does offer free phone support for installations as well. Check Corel's website for the toll free number in your country.

Same result with just about every program and process not required for my system to run switched off.

Any more ideas anyone?

Tried the TBYB download and it does the same thing.

Can anyone at Corel explain why the install program tries to uninstall a program that it hasn't installed?

If you previously installed PSP X3 and tried to reinstall it again, there could be remnant files that was not remove when you uninstall the program. To make sure that you clean out every PSP X3 related file, please follow the steps from this KB http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... oto-Pro-X3

Thanks! When I hit the Activate Now button it pops open a little blank box with an OK button and an x button on the top right corner. No text or anything.

Diagnostics on the drive, memory and cpu all say the beast is healthy and the problem only manifests itself with X3.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to try and help. I made progress every time so it was all useful!

Please can somebody help.

I have recently purchased PSP X3 but I am having problems installing it. I have a decent laptop and all the requirements for the software. after I type in the code I get the following message.

"Error 1935.An error occurred during the installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.ATL,type="win32",version="8.0.50727.42",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9alel8e3b",processorArchitecture=:"x86". Please refer to Help and Support for
more information."

Can anyone assist please.

Welcome to the forums, :)

Please complete your system information in your User Control Panel, found on the Profile tab. You say you have a decent computer, but just what would that be?

You typed in what code? Are you referring to the activation key, the serial number?

Did you purchase the full version or an activation key for a trial version?

After I type in the code key thats on the disks envelope, my country of oragin and then asked to enter the location of were to install the software, the program starts to install but after 10seconds that message comes up.

the laptop is a Packard Bell, with 1.6Ghz, 1Gb ram and 120Gb HD. with Vista home basic SP2 (to me I thought that was decent)
