I tried searching for this topic with no success, so forgive me if it's already answered somewhere in the forum.
Using the below steps causes a string of pixels to delete, and folks on the forum I visited from 2010 (http://www.michelespaintshop.com/forum/ ... f=31&t=446) with similar issues think it's a bug in PaintShop Photo Pro X3 13.0.0.253. I now have version X3 - 13.2.1.20 after updates.
1. Start a new image, with solid background.
2. Selection tool, rectangle, add/shift, feather 0, anti-alias on.
3. Draw out a 3" rectangle. Flood fill or paint in the shape with a solid contrasting color. Leave shape selected.
4. Go to Edit, Copy.
5. Go to Edit, Paste as transparent selection.
6. Place the copy to the right and up against the first shape.
7. Go to selections, Select None.
Take note that there is a string of pixels that is being removed. The above steps were posted by my peers in the PaintShop Photo Pro community forum I mentioned above.
What I’m personally experiencing lead me to look up whether others are seeing the same thing and I found the exchange that includes the above steps. The solution offered to users from the Corel technical support team within the exchange was to uninstall the program, and reinstall it. This did not fix the issue for the posters.
What I’ve been trying to do is Paste As New Selection from one image into another, and pixels are cut off once I click to release the selection. I’ve tried different things, like expanding the canvas of the pasted image, and other things, but nothing has worked.
As of today after speaking with Corel tech support by phone, I installed all four patches I'm aware of (http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 9872271743). Now what I’m trying to do works, but inconsistently. The first time I tried after rebooting, pixels still got deleted, later it worked fine, and then it didn’t again. Apparently another patch comes out in about a month. Will this completely fix the problem?
Thank you so much,
Paula

This seems to have worked. Thank you! (However, since this problem has been recurring inconsistently, I'll report back if I experience it again.)
I really appreciate you post, Kathy!
