PSP 2 Ultimate..help please

Post by Filly »

Hi Group I got sick of my bought X2 telling me I had only so many days left..now 16
So decided to try again the Ultimate version Corel kindly gave me..
I have managed to get all the filters working except 1 with is Ulead gif,
this filter crashed the program any ideas why..
I did unistall it and reinstalled it..
Another problem I have with both X2 and X3 the PSPThumbShellExt.Dll getting it to register.
With the install of both X2 and X3 that dll fails to register..
I have tried it on run and reghelp01 both say they can't locate the dll..
but it is in there in the Corel folder under Common Files,
Could it be in the wrong place..
Finally is the Ultimate version of X2 better than the ordinary one..
Cheers

PSP X2 Ultimate is not compatible with Windows 7, that can be another factor why you are having this problem with PSP X2 Ult on Windows 7.

You can visit http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... patibility , to know which version of the Corel Software is compatible with Windows 7.

There is a workaround for you to make old program works on Windows 7, however I cannot assure you this is a 100% fool proof. You can use the Windows 7 Program Compatibility and the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC, which are both from Microsoft.

You can follow the steps for Windows 7 Program Compatibility from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... of-Windows

You can download and install the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtua ... nload.aspx.

You may want to try the latest version PSP X3 which is full compatible with Windows 7, you can download the 30 day full working trial at http://www.corel.com/trials. Your PSP X2 Ultimate is eligible for the upgrade price of PSP X3.
