Hi,
Can anyone reply that Ulead does or does not use activation when installing, then re-installing the program.
does it apply to only the download version & not the retail box, or does it apply to both, that is of course if ulead uses it.
I am looking at the program, I find it very good.
At the moment I'm trying to use Pinnacle Studio 9, but I just can't get it to render. So, I'm looking for a better program. VideoStudio9 could well be that program.

when you install from a CD you need to put in a code which is supplied on the outer sleeve.
you dont need to activate it like XP or Norton. You can register the product to receive free support (ha ha the only thing that lets Ulead down)
If you download no code is required. Be aware it is a bloody massive. the program is abour 500 mb and the extras are 750 mb!
I have to say this version is far better than VS8 and makes Pinnacle Studio 9 and 9+ look lame.
Be aware there are a few minor niggles with the software such as PAL safe colors.
