Would anyone have any suggestions for reducing the number of fonts Videostudio offers? Many are so similar to each other there is little point in having the variety. Only about half in the list show examples of their style and many are not suitable for video, so there are a lot to click through and try when looking for something a bit different. I think, of the hundreds available, I would consider using only about 30. I am reluctant to completely get rid of most of them but it would save a lot of time if I could sort through them once initially and cull them into a group suitable for use in VS [and have VS offer only those].
Thanks, Peter

Re: Limit available fonts?
Not that I'm aware of. VS uses your system's True-Type (TT) fonts. You would have to uninstall all that you do not want showing up in VS. Most all NLEs that I've tried do the same thing.

Hi Peter
Create your own text / title template.
After creating a title obviously using one of your favourite fonts, simply drag it to the library, maybe to the Favourites page
So each time you create a new title save it to the library.
Edit the name of the thumbnail identifying the font
If you wish to use the same font again, drag the title to the timeline, then change/edit the text.
Complete by modifying the titles duration and animation.

Re: Limit available fonts?
Thanks Ron and Trevor,
I was contemplating renaming the font folder and dragging a few useful fonts to a new folder but,Trevor, your suggestion sounds a lot less drastic. It is quite a time waster trying out all the fonts when so many of them are so similar or so inappropriate.
Regards, Peter
