Deleting temporary files in VideoStudio 11

Post by Berzelius »

I have VideoStudio 11 running under an XP Virtual PC.

I'm sure that there is a command to delete temporary files but I can't for the life of me remember how to access it.

Alternatively, would it be easier to go straight to the VideoStudio working folder. I've just had a look there and was staggered to find no less than 24GB of various files in the CvtedTitle folder! Can I simply delete these?

Hi

As far as I know these are temporary files created during the burn process
So provided you have completed the burning then you can remove them.

There may be an icon on the last burner page to empty / delete files from the working folder, note the burner working folder is different from the editing working folder.
I think this will also remove the CvtedTitle folder.

Many thanks, you are spot on. I made a very short test program and, on the burn page, I found an icon at the bottom left showing a CD and a dustbin. This gave me the option to delete temporary files. My working folder is now a mere 338MB in size.

Interestingly I don’t see that option when using X4, unless its hidden away somewhere

If you have the SHOW MORE OPTION icon, just click on it and it should display the DELETE TEMP Files icon.
