Make a bobble head ?

Post by ghoofie »

I think I posted this and it never got in the forum:

Does anyone know of a way to make a bobble head from a jpeg file.
So that I can have a person's head move around back/forth ?

Not with VS, which is where you posted this. What photo manipulation programs do you have?

I'm moving this topic to the General Discussions, Imaging forum.

Use your favorite image editing program, such as Paint Shop Pro, to save the .jpg file as a .gif file.

Make several copies of the .gif file, and make successive modifications to each file. For example, you might move the head up a little in the first file, a little more in the second, etc. Fill-in the empty space made by moving the head using the surrounding parts of the image as source material.

Assemble your .gif files, starting with the original and followed by each of the successive modifications, in order. Name the files with a sequential number at the end, such as BHead 01.gif, BHead 02.gif, etc.

Use a .gif animation program, such as Animation Shop or GIF Animator, to create an animated .gif file from the sequential files. You will have to experiment with how many frames to use, just what to modify and by how much in each, repeat timing, etc., but this should give you a rough idea what is involved.

It's not exactly Bobble head but this tutorial is a start.

http://www.dumlao.cc/psptutorials/9/caricature/p1.shtml

then follow it up with wds937 suggestions. If you have PSP X3, you can also use the KPT plugin to create a bobble head effect video/animation.
