Preserving 5.1 with split video and audio?

Post by Radioman62 »

Because the inbuilt MPEG encoder lack descent contrast Im thinking of using another video/audio encoder.
I then have a question about the audio. If I separate the audio from the video in the project, is the 5.1 information preserved in the wav file?

Hi
If you are using the “Split Audio” function then I assume yes, but this file will be used only in VS timeline.

If you choose Create Sound File then under the Options button will allow you to choose 5.1 audio channel
This will create a wav file of the entire project, or project preview range.

I do not use 5.1 audio, other users may have better idea………….
