I recently upgraded to Paintshop Photo Pro X3. On my old computer, I have Paintshop Pro 9.
I first downloaded the trial version of Pro X3, and then purchased the full version after the trial.
I've downloaded all the patches, but it does not help.
Every single time I try to use the option:
EFFECTS
TEXTURE EFFECTS
TEXTURE
the program crashes.
I've rebooted, restarted with ONLY Paintshop open, and it still crashes.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I use the texture option quite frequently.
Thanks for any help you can give me!

Re: Paintshop Photo Pro X3 Crashing With "Texture" Option
I tried and I was able to access the texture effects. Can you tell me if you are getting an error message when your PSP X3 crashes? also if this happens on all photos where you try to apply the texture effects?
If you were able to use that option before, you may want to reset your workspace first. You can do that by pressing and holding down the SHIFT key then double-click on the PSP icon then when you received the message "DO YOU WAN TO RESTORE PAINTSHOP Pro TO ITS DEFAULT STATE?" just click OK.

I too tried to get texture effects to crash and couldn't get it to do anything but what it was designed too.

If Abiel's suggestion doesn't work can you give us more information?
What type of image is it? What size? Does it crash just trying to open the texture dialog or after trying to apply the texture changes? As much information as possible please.
