Question #1.
Were can I change the "color saturation" to use for my "color changer"?
Question #2.

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
The Color Changer Tool does not have a saturation control. However, you can approximate this by creating a duplicate layer above your current layer, performing the color change in that duplicate layer, and then changing the new layer's opacity to a lower value. Maybe, start at 50%, and work up or down from there. Also, try experimenting with that layer's blend mode.yogirajj wrote:Were can I change the "color saturation" to use for my "color changer"?

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
For question number 2 I don't think there's a way to unclick clicks once they've been clicked. However what I do is just continue on with my clicking and then come back and subtract or add as needed.

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
Thank you so much guys for your quick response. This is interesting, because in the PDF instruction manual I got with my purchase (on page 83); it says: in the "materials properties box" I can set these values, however, I checked all over the place, and there was no specific module for the color changer "saturation". I like your suggestion, I'll try it as soon as I get a chance. The Color Changer Tool does not have a saturation control. However, you can approximate this by creating a duplicate layer above your current layer, performing the color change in that duplicate layer, and then changing the new layer's opacity to a lower value. Maybe, start at 50%, and work up or down from there. Also, try experimenting with that layer's blend mode.
Hmm, that's what I thought. However, I discovered that creating another layer, and using the "object extractor tool" works 100% better than using the selection. Ususally, all I have to do is erase a small portion of the edges and that's it!!.For question number 2 I don't think there's a way to unclick clicks once they've been clicked. However what I do is just continue on with my clicking and then come back and subtract or add as needed.

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
What they're saying in the Help file is to choose a replacement color with a low color saturation. You do this in the Materials palette where you set the Hue, Saturation and Lightness/Luminance. They''re saying that it's better to choose a color with a low saturation (around 100) rather than a fully saturated color (255).
On the Materials palette, click the Color button on the Style drop-list, and choose a solid color.
If the Materials palette is not displayed, choose View Palettes Materials.
For realistic-looking colors, set the Saturation value (in the Material Properties dialog box) closer to 100 than to 255 (full saturation).

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
Ok, so, it simply means choose lighter color shades??? Now, in terms of hue, saturation, etc., the only options i've noticed is in the "layer pane". The layer pane has a pull down menu of fixed options, which appear to be of various filters/sub plugins. It is located just under the opacity bar. Now this seams to be what I am looking for. I experimented with a few colors/menu options and it looks great!!
Thank you guys for having so much patience with me. It is really difficult adjusting to a new program, especially after using an old one for years.

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
To answer your second question, as you may find a need for the selection tool again, just hit the Delete key and it will go backwards along the selection for you.

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
Ok, I didn't realize I could also accomplish this in the "Adjust" Menu/Hue and Saturation. Nothing was highlighted because I had nothing selected. I"m getting there. I got my PSP x3 book, hopefully, i'll be a master in no time!!LindaSue wrote:What they're saying in the Help file is to choose a replacement color with a low color saturation. Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
I'm glad that you asked that selection question. I didn't know that you could do what Levi posted about pressing Delete and I'm sure that it will come in handy sometime.

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
Good luck! I have been using PSP for years, but I don't think I'm anything close to a master.hopefully, i'll be a master in no time!!
To me, this is like many other full-featured or complex software applications in that PSP does so many things and has so many variations on those things. I learn more as I need to do something new, as the way I am doing something doesn't quite fit the situation at hand, or as I just plain stumble onto something. That's the beauty of forums like this one--we can all learn from each other as we ask questions, answer questions, and read solutions that worked (or didn't) for others.

Re: 2 Questions about saturation & selection tool
Yes, I soooo agree with you. To tell you the truth, the only reason I asked, was because I remembered the same feature in PhotoShop. So far, my only disappointment is that, I don't find as many compatible plugins for PSP, as with PSwds937 wrote:Good luck!
