Layout help when creating a DVD .....

OK, I am use to using Ulead 9 and seem to be dumb as dirt when using Video Studio Pro 4X.

For the most part they are alike. I am having a problem when I go to make a DVD.

I am able to start the project but in Ulead 9, I could "choose a template", then choose "customize". This would give me three options 1) scene frame 2) layout 3) Button image. Using the Layout option, I could choose the number of "boxes" that would show up, each representing one video clip on the disc.

I just don't seem to find the equivalent on Pro 4X. I have looked everywhere. There is only a few layouts. I don't see where I can add any boxes to it. I am even having problems figuring out how to get rid of things I don't want on the screen. I changed the background picture but had a bunch of "junk" I didn't want.

Any help ( or even showing me where I can find a tutorial on it) would be great!

Please do not double post, it confuses things.

Video tutorials for VS X4 can be found through the Corel Guide. It is the small round button in the upper-right corner of the UI. Those tutorials are hosted on Vimeo

Video Studio 9’s DVD menu’s are limited to Thumbnail types.
The Smart ScenesMenu used in X4 have limited custom options compared to Thumbnail types

Choose the thumbnail option from the gallery will allow you to customise similar to VS 9, however you will be limited to 8 links per page whereas VS9 allowed 12.

From X4 choose the Thumbnail page from the gallery, choose a template……….
Then select the Edit tab
Then Customise
The dropdown box marked Frames allows you to choose Layout

In addition I see 21 thumbnail templates, if you see less then have you fully installed the program.
