Hi,
I have just upgraded to Videostusio X4 from X2 and with X2 I had to use a cut down version of Itunes that did not install Quicktime, all on Windows 7 64. I then installed QuickTime Alternative 3.1.1. - otherwise X2 would crash regularly when trying to edit Mov4 files. Does X4 suffer from the same, or can I now use the latest version of ITunes & Quicktime?

No easy answer to your question, however. It seems that while many users of X4 have no trouble with the latest version of Quicktime, the old problem persists for some. I am among the lucky ones and currently have QT 7.6.9 which works perfectly well with X4 (and for that matter X3 and X2 -- so I suspect a newer Common File somewhere has overwritten the previous one). But others find they have to reinstall the QT version which came with X4 which, if memory serves, is 7.5.5.
