I'm trying to integrate 16:9 HD video clips into a 4:3 project (or vica versa). Does anyone know of a way to do this? Obviously it will take cropping the edges but how? VS does not appear to be up to the task that I can figure. Maybe a third party utility?
Thanks,
Crop 16:9 video clips for use in 4:3 project?

Re: Crop 16:9 video clips for use in 4:3 project?
Hi John,
VS X4 has 2 Crop filters, one being called Crop Borders which is a New Blue FX filter. The only way that I've found for some of the NB FX filters to work properly in VS, is to;
1/ Have the video clip in an overlay track.
2/ The video clip must use Fit to Screen
3/ Apply a Mask, the full rectangular one.
You could also use the Cropping filter, and use Jeff's (Black Lab) method, described here: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 10#p183610
