Re: Photoshop Plugins Question??
No it's not. But then again, I don't think any software is "fully" compatible with "ALL" of them. Photoshop has a number of very specific features that some plugins take advantage of that other softwares just don't have.
PSPX3 has a very limited number of the available options and I believe is more compatible with Photoshop 7 plugins and filters though how compatible I just don't know. Also after Patch #3 for PSPX3 a number of plugins that worked previously no longer worked. In other words the developers tried to make it more compatible and actually broke a few things. But even if that wasn't the case not all plugins and filters would work with PSPX3.
Best way to tell is to see if the developers of the plugin tested it with PSP. IF they did and they guarantee it'll work then the chances are high that it will work. IF they don't tell you it'll work in PSP chances are high that it won't work but you can try it anyway.
Are there any specific filters you're most concerned about?

Re: Photoshop Plugins Question??
Thank you so much for your quick reply. I don't have any particular filter in mind. I had purchased x2 a while back, but never really used it because I was stubborn, and did not want to change from using Picture Publisher 8 (yeah, I know, shame on me). Now that I got a new windows 7 machine, I had no other choice. I wanted to get back into graphic art, and I now realized that PSP is exponentially easier than my old PP & PS combined. Now that I upgraded to PSPx3 I am in love. It is truly a poor man's substitute for all these expensive packages, with nearly the same capabilities.
Ok. I'll just look for the requirements/compatibility like in any other boxed software I buy. I am extremely pleased with PSP. I am still involved in PSP specific yahoo groups that are still running VERY strong, now I see why people love it so much. Maybe we should start a movement to get developers to write more PSP friendly plugins...
Thanks...
