PSPPX3:Downloaded extras-PSPPX3_Incentive.exe.What are they?

Post by SyncroScales »

A little while ago, I installed my copy of PSPP X3 on desktop and laptop. I checked it out a bit. And left it. Then went into it another day and got a message prompting me to register (I thought I already did). So I re-did it and answered a survey from Corel. I then was able to download something that was about extras. The file is called: PSPPX3_Incentive.exe.

What is this? What does it do? How can I tell it worked?

I think I got this message since I installed the program onto 2 systems (I emailed Corel and was told I can do this, I think I saved the email).

I have Service Packs 1 - 4 installed (I shut down after each one, and that took a while..... :D. I also bought a boxed version from a store in my city, so I isntalled everything from the DVD that was on it. I checked for updates too.

This happened on my desktop, I still havn't checked the laptop out.

Thank you.

If I remember correctly the download incentives are extra frames, picture tubes, and such like that. Though I don't know exactly what all you got. You'd have to be familiar with the regular items to see which items are new. I know of only two people who actually liked something from the incentives package. But who knows, they might come in handy one day.

PSPX3 should also start offering you a free KPT plugin download (it includes 5 plugins not the whole KPT suite unless you have the Ultimate edition then they are included on the disc) and you'll also get a download of "time-saving scripts" that I never use. If you go into your effects menu and see the option "Do More...." is clickable it'll open up the Corel Guide and you can download them. Though I don't know how long it takes for that to happen.

Levi is right on the money. One thing I notice though, I tried reinstalling the PSPPX3_Incentive.EXE that I downloaded after reinstalling and when I selected the MODIFY option, this is what I got.

Thanks for the info.

I got the Ultimate version.

I tried to click Effects - Do More, but it is greyed out. No photo on the screen, and with a photo. Assuming that what I can get is already installed.

Thanks for the information.

Not necessarily. XD I freshly installed X3 recently and it took a good few weeks before Do More... popped up. I don't know why it takes so long but it does. Just keep an eye on it from time to time.
