Hi.
I am a new user. I have downloaded and installed the trial VideoStudio Pro X4, and I want to buy the program. When I go to the online shop, I have the option of buying additional insurance. Do I need this, if I keep the serialnumber (I suppose, this is what I get, when I buy?) and also keep the downloaded "VSX4_Pro_TBYB"-file? I mean, if I later on want to reinstall the program, then this should be possible withiout the extra insurance, as long as I have the original file and serial? I have several backup-disks, so it should not be a problem to save these.
Kind regards, Brian.

Re: Buying - reinstalling
In those circumstances, I personally would not worry about insurance -- in fact, I have never bought it for software since I always make at least one copy of the downloaded files and serial number/activation codes...
I note, however, that you are just going to activate the TBYB version. In the past, quite a few users have had problems with this version once activated. While I can't immediately recall if anyone has expressed similar problems with the TBYB version of X4, my advice nonetheless would be to buy the normal download version and simply download that, install and activate it and keep a backup copy somewhere safe.

Re: Buying - reinstalling
The file VSX4_Pro_TBYB.exe is the installer for the trial version and just like what Ken explained that it is best that you just order the ordinary download and not use the BUY NOW inside the trial. This way you will have a separate installer (not TBYB) and a serial number and you just need to activate the program.
