MOV files
How do I go about converting MOV files into DV or mpeg files to edit? When I import the files are choppy I downloaded the quicktime, dvx and direct x files. No success.
Any suggestions?

Lots of free good convertors listed here

It may depend on which of the hundreds of types of MOV file it is as to which you use, but I'd bet on "super" doing the job for you.

Re: MOV files
I just moved in a MOV file in X3 then tried to save a mpg2 took foever video runs smooth no friggin sound. Rather disappointing there is no easy way to convert a MOV file into a normal running video with sound.

Re: MOV files
I checked his website and it does not have a link to Super..
Super by erightsoft.com
Be advised that AVS advertises on the Erightsoft website, and you're not after AVS' converter. You need to scroll to the bottom of the pages, clicking on the links that indicate for you to Download Super. There's no way to get a direct link to the download page or the file.
