New to video editing and ULead VS and could use some help. Ran a search of this forum but could find an answer....
First, i converted all of our old SONY analog home videos over to MiniDV thru the A/V input on our JVC camcorder. Now when i try to capture them onto the PC, the bottom 3 or 4 lines are off center.
When i try to capture video that we recently recorded directly to the JVC camcorder, there are no 'wiggles' at the bottom of the screen.
Is there a way to correct this? Even if i could just overlay a letterbox onto the bottom of the video that would be perfectly acceptable. Or is there a setting or filter or something that i could get it to look ok?
Sorry for what is probably a pretty basic question to most... i'm a newb at this sort of stuff...
TIA....

That's normal, and will only be visible when viewing the video on your PC. What you are seeing is the overscan area, which is usually obscured on a TV. If you will be watching this video only on a computer, you can use UVS' cropping filter to trim off a few lines at the bottom, but this will add to the time it takes to produce your video / DVD.
