Can you change the X4 skin?
I am a long-term user of MSP7 and 8 but now need something for editing HD movies so have downloaded a trial version of VSPro X4. The layout looks familiar but not the black skin. Is there any way of changing to something other than white on black which I find very hard on my old eyes. Quite off-putting in fact - probably terminal as far as the trial goes. Or am I the only one who doesn't like it?

No your not the only one who doesn't like it David - but unfortunately there is no way to change it.
but the more I use it the less troublesome it seems to get.

It seems that most of the programs have adopted that color scheme. I've tried several of the popular ones recently, and they all have the same color scheme.
VS X4 APE 9 MMEP 17+ Corel is not the only one that has started or has been using this color theme. Corel first used a Graphite color back with VS X2.

Wonder why? As my Dad used to tell me "Where all think alike, nobody is thinking very much!"It seems that most of the programs have adopted that color scheme. I've tried several of the popular ones recently, and they all have the same color scheme.
I have been trying out other programs and have noticed the trend by most but not all, Microsoft for one is an exception. So now my problem is to find a program which is both easy on the eye and also allows full use of high def clips produced by my new Sony HDR CX160 in 1920 x 1080/50p or AVCHD 1920 x 1080/50i. Not sure yet about X4 but from some of the posts it seems as if I may have a bit of a problem.

Re: Can you change the X4 skin?
I seem to remember that the dark/graphite skin of VS and PSP is being adopted because it's less stressful to the eyes.
