Hi all,
I am new to the forum, I am creating an image of combined 2 images with the middle overlapping with each other. I was hoping to blend the 2 images in the middle very much like this site here: http://www.dreamvision-entertainment.co ... ndtut.html
How do I do that in Corel PSP x3?
Thanks!
How to blend 2 images with each other using gradient?

Re: How to blend 2 images with each other using gradient?
The steps are pretty similar actually between the two programs.
We don't have a gradient tool but we do have a flood fill tool set to the gradient that you want.
All you need to do is add a mask layer to each image. You then draw the gradient onto the mask and bob's your uncle. Of course gradients take up the whole image from left to right so you may need to use pick tool to transform the mask layer a bit to get the gradient to work properly.
If you want to make sure the gradient starts and ends at a particular point you can use the rectangular selection tool to create a selection around a certain part of the mask. Then when you use the flood fill the gradient will fit perfectly inside the selection.
If it helps, and it probably won't, I attempt to do the exact same thing as the tutorial in this video show how to use the gradients, flood fill, mask layer, and pick tools together to create this effect.
