Free DVD Menus

What Jeff and Brian refer to are the DVD Menus, which are Standard-Def. Those are quite customizable. Checking VS X4 for the High-Def menus, like AVCHD, I find I do have 8. You can change the background image, video, and alter the text, however I agree that you are restricted to the layout of the provided menu template.

I will disagree that the editing of the menus are draconian. You apparently have not seen the competitor's programs, in the same price range as VS. I have tried just about all of them now. While Corel could improve, VS still seems to be the easiest to work with. There's some things that other programs seem to do easier, however those minute things have not been enough to persuade me to change.

Corel should provide the same flexibility for the HD menus as it does for the SD menus, but sadly so far they do not.

Hi Dan

The X4 installation program should have an Extra Contents file, this will be via download or on a disc depending on how you purchased the program.

Running the Contents pack completes the installation by adding additional menus and templates to X4.

Your editing library will show more clips, from the Create Disc DVD Gallery I see 41 templates in all.
21 being in the Thumbnail Gallery.

Each can be customised and an additional template saved to the Favourites folder for future use.
A total of 8 links can be created when customising the Thumbnail menus.
