I bought WinDVD 10 Pro a few days ago. It has no problem playing back BD but it refuses to pass through the High Def audio like DTS-HD MA and especially Dolby TrueHD.
With a BD/BD-ISO that has DTS-HD MA track my AVR only shows "DTS ES". When I hit info icon on WinDVD it does show that its playing DTS-HD MA.
With a BD/BD-ISO that has Dolby TrueHD track my AVR shows nothing, it just defaults to "PCM Direct". When I hit info icon on WinDVD it does show that its playing Dolby TrueHD. Now if I switch over to the other audio tracks like Dolby Digital English/French etc, it passes them through perfectly.
I have the latest update on WinDVD 10, and the latest drivers for my Radeon card.
And i know for a fact that the SAME movies will play back perfectly when I switch to ArcSoft TMT5, so its certainly not a hardware or OS related issue. There is a service request pending, not heard back from anyone. So I am hoping that someone here might help before I have to RMA the product.
Thanks.

Re: No HD Audio pass through during BD playback
You may not be able to get the core audio of Dolby True HD for playback with WInDVD. I have a similar problem with playback form a laptop to an Audio Amplifier. I also stream BD over my network but my WD HUB will not playback Dolby True HD audio. I have to use Clown BD to extract the core audio with the movie for playback on the WD Hub. All other audio formats with the WD Hub play fine. Pass through can be an issue you can't get around.

Re: No HD Audio pass through during BD playback
The smart folks at AVS forums say that you SHOULD get DTS-MA and TrueHD passthrough. So this is certainly an anomaly. Even Corel claims that on its WinDVD page.
