How to change a placeholder from Instant Project

Post by Czrrin »

Hello,

Using VSP X4. I have d/l one of the templates that has a complete video w/ placeholders. All of the placeholders except the first one are flat rectangular images which are easily replaceables, the first one that is a 3d Type of rectangle with a slant. I have no idea how to replace it. Does anyone know how to adjust the image to fit into this 3d placeholder?

Thanks,

Czrrin

Welcome to the forums, :)

Can you tell us which specific template you're referring to? Then maybe we can find an answer.. ;)

It's the template you find under the drop down selection Complete, see instant project. I can't find the name, only ss_general shows on the timeline.

Sorry,

Sorry,

Well for me that narrows it down to 1 out of 27 possibilities, but I found it I think... is it this one?

If so you can't change the first image, because it's a video clip, not an image. If you look at the video file name it says SS_General01_Start.wmv You can replace the entire clip, but that's not a separate image showing in the clip. That video clip could easily be created, using your own photo.

It definitely is not that one but thankls for the assistance. I was able to figure out what my issue was. I needed to hold the control key while dragging the image to the placeholder.

I wonder, where did you find the other clips and movies that you show on your post? I'd like to download them.

Thanks,

Wow ---- thank you very much

Brilliant, you learn something every day. Drag Clip, hold Ctrl and drop…..

To replace a placeholder I have always right clicked the clip and select Replace Clip-Photo.
This allows you to browse the hard drive for the image file. Its monotonous and time consuming.

I have been using Instant Projects quite a lot of late, this is certainly gonna improve things.
