I'm running VideoStudio ProX3 and am having problems with the sound.
I'm using .mov files from handheld cameras and have not had problems with these files in other editors or playback.
In the editor, when the sound when set to "clip" playback is just fine, but when set to "project" playback the sound pulses in brief bursts at a rate of once per second. The issue isn't with the computer since the only change is in the program.
When the project is rendered into a video file, the sound is fine until the first transition, at which point it pulses once and then goes silent for the rest of the video.
This issue did not exist with the original (unstable) installation, but started when I installed Service Pack 2. Stable but no useable sound. Great.
Installed the audio patch (TSK 2642) and it is still a problem.
Love the interface and utility of this program - great for my "non-professional" use, but this is driving me crazy. Am I missing something?

Hi
And welcome to the forum.
Yep some users, a few experience this issue, I am quite surprised more don’t suffer????
As you have noticed its related to the patch??????
Uninstalling X3 and reinstalling without the patch may cure this problem.
Have a look at Youtube, is your problem similar?

Re: Deeply Strange Sound Problem - VideoStudio Pro X3
That's it exactly. Uninstalling and reinstalling without Service Pack 2 makes the sound problem go away and the stability problem return. Seems a shame to have to choose between the two.
Is there a Service Pack 1 update around anywhere that might help with the latter and not re-create the former?
Regards
Scott
